The Port of Wilmington, Delaware is a full-service deepwater port and marine terminal capable of handling all types of cargo with customized logistics.

Delaware's Port ranks as the nation's leading gateway for imports of fresh fruit, banana, and juice concentrate. North America's leading perishable terminal also handles more than 200,000 TEUs annually primarily for Dole Fresh Fruit Company and Chiquita Fresh North America. Reefer shippers take advantage of the Port’s 800,000 sf on-site cold-storage complex, the nation’s largest, as their northeastern and mid-Atlantic distribution center.

Wilmington has been a successful automobile and RoRo hub for more than three decades. Automobile shippers enjoy our dedicated auto & RoRo berth on the Delaware River which is connected to secure and clean storage and processing facilities.

In addition, a variety of breakbulk and bulk cargoes move through the Port including steel, forest products, dry bulk materials, and petroleum products. In recent years Wilmington has also become the largest East Coast export hub for livestock, and a popular gateway for project cargo and wind energy shipments.
