Fresh Fruit |

Our status as North America's largest banana port, and the nation's leading gateway for imports of fresh fruit and produce underscores our quality handling of perishable cargo.
Dole Fresh Fruit Company and Chiquita Fresh North America have made Wilmington their Home-Port, calling Wilmington once a week year-round with bananas and other tropical fruit to supply 200 million consumers.
From December to April we handle Chilean table grapes, plums, peaches, nectarines, apples, pears, cherries and berries and many other fruit. This delicious fruit is stored in our state-of-the-art cold storage facility until its distribution to US and Canadian consumers.
An Argentine apple and pear winter program was successfully inaugurated at the Port in 2011 and has been growing since.
Popular Moroccan clementines arrive in Wilmington in the fall, and are marketed throughout US and Canadian markets to sweeten the holiday season.
The Port also handles Brazilian and Peruvian grapes and kiwifruit from New Zealand.
Delaware's seaport, a proud member of the PMA.
