Thomas B. Keefer Promoted to DSPC Deputy Executive Director

Wilmington, DE - The Port of Wilmington is pleased to announce that Thomas B. Keefer, the Director of Marketing and Trade Development for the Diamond State Port Corporation (DSPC) is effective immediately promoted to the position of Deputy Executive Director. Tom joined the Port of Wilmington in June 2002, and has shown outstanding performance and dedication in obtaining new business for the Port and maintaining our diversity as a major East Coast port. 

Most recently, Tom lead the negotiations with Volkswagen of America, Inc. which resulted in a five-year lease agreement, the longest lease-term contract for the German automaker. 

“In making this decision, I have drawn on the depth and strength of our outstanding DSPC Team”, said Gene Bailey.  "The talent within our own ranks has enabled me to take this important step with great confidence that our mission will move forward with even greater focus and success”, he added. Taking the post of Deputy Executive Director, Keefer will continue to oversee the Marketing and Trade Development and assume increased responsibilities with daily business activities.
