Randall M. Horne, P.E. Promoted to
Director,
Engineering and Maintenance

Wilmington, DE- The Diamond State Port Corporation (DSPC) is pleased to
announce the promotion of Randall M. Horne to Director, Engineering and
Maintenance at the Port of Wilmington, Delaware. Horne joined the Port
in October 2004 and has been serving as Senior Port Engineer.

This promotion is well-deserved”, said
Gene Bailey, Executive Director of DSPC, “He has a proven ability to
successfully and simultaneously manage fast tracked engineering projects
such as the development of the Port’s new state of the art refrigerated
warehouse, instituting a new planned maintenance system for all
operating equipment and installing a new high security cctv system.
These accomplishments have enabled the Port to continue to grow and meet
both its commercial and operational requirements without missing a
beat”, added Bailey.
As Director of Engineering and
Maintenance Horne is responsible for the repair, maintenance and
development of all real property at the 308-acre Port of Wilmington.
This includes over one million sf of refrigerated and dry warehouse
space in seven different facilities, five thousand lineal feet of
marginal wharf, two high-speed gantry cranes and channel and berth
dredge planning and management.
Founded in 1923, the Port of Wilmington
is an important asset for the local and regional economy, generating
more than 5,300 jobs and contributing over $23 million in annual tax
revenues to state and local government. The Port is owned and operated
by the Diamond State Port Corporation, a corporation of the State of
Delaware
