Selected to Lead DSPC
Board as its Vice Chair
Wilmington, Del. - The Diamond
State Port Corporation’s (DSPC) Board of Directors has selected Delaware
Secretary of Finance, Richard S. Cordrey to serve as its Vice Chair.
This selection was to ensure continuity of leadership as Nathan Hayward,
III retired as Chair of the DSPC Board on January 31 due to health
reasons. |
Established by the State of Delaware in
1995, the DSPC owns and operates the Port of Wilmington, Delaware. The
Port of Wilmington is the busiest full service terminal on the Delaware
River, and is the nation’s leading gateway for imports of fresh fruit,
juice concentrates and palletized frozen beef.

financial activities, and he will provide DSPC with invaluable insight
and assistance in developing solutions to the Port’s financing
challenges. Under his leadership the Port will continue to expand its
commercial activities and increase its regional economic impact”,
remarked DSPC Executive Director, Eugene R. Bailey.
Founded in 1923, the Port of Wilmington
is an important asset for the local and regional economy, generating
more than 5,300 jobs and contributing over $23 million in annual tax
revenues to state and local government. The Port is owned and operated
by the Diamond State Port Corporation, a corporation of the State of
Delaware.
